Artist Talks & Lectures
Maya enjoys opportunities to talk with people more specifically about her fine art and imagery. It offers a wonderful glimpse into the process and meaning behind Maya's work. She has often lectured as part of past solo shows.

Feel free to contact Maya to schedule an Artist Talk.

Reflection Press & Maya's work as an educator

Since 1996 Maya has been working in classrooms and libraries around the country teaching the lessons of empowerment through creativity. Making art for children's books gave her the perfect opportunity to work with some of the smartest people she knows, children! ...and some of the most courageous, educators! This work led her to co-found her own press.

Create A New Reality!

Maya working in the classroomMission: Reflection Press is an independent publisher of radical children's books and works that expand spiritual and cultural awareness. We seek to empower effective co-creators in our new reality through materials and services that are always rooted in a sense of playfulness and exuberance and continually promote sourcing trust and knowing within the individual.

ABOUT: Our work focuses on gender identity awareness, dismantling gender stereotypes, bringing light to power and privilege, eradicating racism, sexism, heterosexism, ageism, sizeism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, and any other –ism or –phobia out there! We're pretty serious about the freedom to be who you are in all the glorious diversity that is human-ness!

How do we do this? Through books, online resources, workshops, classes, educator trainings, everyday conversations, and even the way we run our business and do our lives. We strive to embody our message and mission in everything we do and always seek to break down barriers to consciousness expansion.
