This time was marked by debilitating health issues and diminishing ability to work due to heavy metal poisoning. My life was spent managing pain, going to doctors and praying. I had always relied on a spiritual focus to navigate life but this experience pushed me to the very edge.<\/p>\n
My art materials and size of my work shifted to accommodate my limited physical abilities. The color drained out of the majority of my art. The Codices of Mexico, which I have always been drawn to, also opened up to me in a unique way. They created a vocabulary for sacrifice, different dimensions of reality, our connection to different energies, aspects of soul-lesson, karma, acceptance, pain and much more.<\/p>\n
