A little about the jewelry pieces: Each jewelry piece is individually handcrafted by Maya and contains small archival prints of her artwork. All wire work and beading is done by Maya.

"Each piece is handmade, a bit idiosyncratic to what I love and have experienced and a small work of art in itself, whether in its crafting or its imagery. Aesthetically, I love to use seemingly opposite things together, like plastic laminate with tiny pearls. There is beauty in all things. All things are equal. Everything is art. Plus it's like me, a bit plastic, a bit pearl! I currently love working with imagery, felt and recycled pop cans. Each piece has so many stories embedded in it. I always find it funny to call it jewelry. It's more like a memoriam, a synthesis of life and thought made into a physical item to dangle from your body... we are art." - Maya
