Art from this time explored letting go of ego identity and moving into greater spiritual awareness and power. There is also a shift towards relaxing into love and the multidimensional self, marked by what I refer to as a mature innocence.
During this time I also turned again towards the written word to articulate how art and the creative force has served me. I co-founded Reflection Press to share this work with others and published my Claiming Face curriculum which uses self-portraiture as a tool of empowerment for children of color.
More about this time period can be found in my bio.
