Current -2011 Artwork

Currently, I am once again returning to larger studio paintings and exploring mixed media.

I feel that I am going through the last stages of integrating the experience of my illness and how that has affected my art and my consciousness. One of the noteworthy aspects of this is the incorporation of the freedom and materials I've used in making the art for my children's books into my fine art.

I continue to invest in Reflection Press and my work using creativity as a tool for social change.

More about this time period can be found in my bio.

Themes:
integration, freedom, expanding consciousness, true personal power, primitive nature of physical reality

Symbolism:
mushrooms, ghosts, skeletons, jaguar, eyes, dolls, rabbits, bridal imagery, veils, flowers, birds, balancing, flying, altered heart (three bumps)
